Silhouette Soft® comes in the form of bidirectional absorbable suture thread cones. They are made of polylactic acid (PLA) which has been used for many years in pharmaceutical and medical applications. The sutures are placed under the skin and then tightened to produce an immediate lifting effect, which is then enhanced by the stimulation of collagen as the thread resorbs.

This treatment is most suitable for patients with mild to moderate skin laxity and sagging who do not need a surgical facelift.

There is no special preparation required but you may be advised to have some pre-treatment with dermal fillers or Profhilo to improve the skin condition and thickness prior to this procedure being undertaken.

It is not suitable if you have an allergy to any of the ingredients.

Silhouette Soft® was developed over six years in the United States and is based on suspension sutures used in reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. It has an excellent track record for safety and is approved for use in the UK. Your safety is ensured by this treatment only being available via specially trained healthcare professionals.

Additionally, as thread lifts can only be provided in CQC-registered premises, you can be further reassured that this treatment is being carried out in safe conditions at our clinic.

As with any cosmetic treatment there may be some slight swelling, redness or bruising which will usually disappear within a few days. Sometimes there can be some dimpling and wrinkling of the skin which will usually disappear quickly.

Whilst the treatment itself is straight forward, afterwards you will need to avoid high impact exercise for 2 weeks, stay out of the sun and heat for 3 weeks, and avoid facial massages or other facial aesthetic treatments for 4 weeks after treatment.
